just on your wallet, they're the same strain. i'd just choose one and make a starter
 
Yup, they're nearly identical yeasts. If you're just trying to get your pitch rate up and have both, go for it. Otherwise, buy two of whatever's cheaper or make a starter.
 
Trying to get pitch rate to 330 billion cells in 18 hours if that's possible. I'll add both to my starter
 
Actually, those are pretty different yeasts. The Wyeast wil ferment cleanly down into the low 50s and give you a very spight smoky phenolic. The White likes considerably warmer temps and IMO doesn't make as clean a beer.
 
Hmmm, already made my starter and added both. I'm thinking the 028 dosn't ferment well under 62 and the wyeast 55-75 so maybe 64 would be a good compromise?
