I am brewing a Newcastle clone this weekend. I started another thread about my recipe but wanted some thoughts on yeast. I do 10g batches and normally use 2 different yeasts for comparison sake.

BierMuncher uses Whitbread Ale (Wyeast Labs #1099) on his clone recipe that I am basing my recipe off of.

What other yeasts have you used for New Castle clones, and to what result?

Thanks

I would suggest: 1. Nottingham or 2. Safale S-04

Honestely, if you're going to use Wyeast 1028, I would just go with Nottingham or S-04.
