Right, so I just finished bottling batch #2 (Indian Pale Ale). Batch #1 has been bottled for a month and is starting to taste really good :D

All seems to have gone well with batch #2 - I left it for 3 week before bottling. However I noticed a lot of sediment at the bottom of the fermenter (photo attached).

Is this normal?

Thanks for any info :)

That's great. It looks like a lot of spent yeast. That means it'll be in the fermenter, and not in the bottles, so you'll have less crud in the bottles. That's a good thing.

Good to hear. The beer did look quite clear compared to my last brew.

But I assume there will be enough yeast in the bottles for proper carbonation?

Thanks again
