Hello/Hallo!

Was simply wondering if anyone one from these forums are German or speak German. I am still learning, but am absolutely in love with the language, so I'd never pass up the opportunity to speak to anyone in it, especially about beer.

Thanks!!!

Naja, wie lange hast du deutsch studiert und warum? Ich hab' dreimal in deutschland gewohnt und jetzt vermisse ich der vaterland jeden tag.

Ich vergesse meine hausaufgaben.

Thats about all I remember from my years in high school. I used that phrase a lot. SWMBO speaks it fluently though so when we go to Germany she'll be my beer translator.

Ich sprache ein bischen deutsch. Ich studiere Anglistik als Haubtfach aber ich muss auch deutsch studiere. Obgleich, mag ich deutsch über Anglistik.

This is awesome... 16 years out of high school German and I got about 75% of that... Didn't even have to use the translator...

Sadly, the only things I "fluently" remember are how to ask where something is, I love _____, and "Du bist ein Misthaufen"...

:cross:

It's been about 30 years since I studied German in high school. It's a pity I never had much chance to use it, because it is indeed a fun language. but I don't remember much of it anymore....

Schlappschwanz!! LOL :D I haven't heard that in quite a while either.

/me is from Germany

I got most of that but my German isn't really good enough to write this reply auf Deutch...

It tends to come back when I'm there which is a good thing cause I'm off there for the weekend... :D
