Hello,

I'm getting ready to brew a big beer that should be around 10%. The recipe calls for Safale S-04. Can any one suggest a White Labs strain that would be comparable?

Thanks
Mike

use S-04, great yeast never let me down and its 1/2 the price (sorry I understand that is not your question).

I just brewed up a pumpkin ale using WLP041 (Pacific Ale Yeast). It supposed to leave behind a lot of maltyness. 10% is pretty big; typically big beers are malty and have a full body. You certainly can't go wrong with WLP002, or possibly WLP051.
