Must be that Cologne (Koln) - Dusseldorf rivalry. When I was in Dusseldorf, I asked the server for a Kolsch. He laughed and thought I was joking. Apparently it's tantamount to looking for a Mets cap in Yankee stadium.

I made one altbier. It smelled and tasted so bad it is the only beer that I seriously considered dumping. I gave it all to a friend that said he liked it. Blechh....
Yes, I give a third to that. Everyone knows that beer comes out lighter in color than it went in...
