Hello All:

This forum is an awesome help line, espcially to settle my newbie nerves.

I started a IPA in the primary about 15 hours ago (this is brew 3 and I am already noticing that none of my fermentations are the same) and I don't see the head of foam that normally appears but there is a creamy layer on the bottom of my primary. I just want to know if this is normal.

Thanks!

I've had it go three days, then explosion of Krausen and bubbles.

Using the same strand in the next batch, Wyeast Northern Brewer, I had Krausen form in the first day with quick fermentation, then disappear on the seventh day, only to return three days on the tenth. Give it a week and if it still seems suspicious, take a gravity reading
