What is the math to determine ABV again. Something like OG - FG divided by 150 times something.

I cant find the math problem anywhere, you guys remember it?

Oh yeah and a bottling question, Mine is in the secondary at the moment, is it easier to bottle right from there or should I transfer it into my bottling bucket, with the spigot?

Not sure what the math is but John Palmer has a table on his website howtobrew.com.

I would go with the bottling bucket myself.

couldnt find the chart, Ill have to do some searching for the math problem

I think the formula is:

ABV = (OG - FG)*131

so a 1.050 beer that finished at 1.007 would have about 5.6% ABV

(1.050 - 1.007) * 131 = .043 * 131 = 5.633

Promash says it shoulf be 5.66%. Close enough for me.

thanks guys, I thought there was a few more steps in it but I could very well be wrong

may not be that much of a difference but the formula in the book I have says
OG-FG * 129 = ABV
