Wausau, WI Brew Pubs

Hey guys,

I'm currently sitting at Red Eye Brewpub in Wausau, I'm trying to hit all three breweries this weekend. (Great Dane, Red Eye, and Bull Moose)

I have to say I'm really liking Red Eye, even over my local breweries, Titletown and Hinterland. Excellent selection of beers, including imperials, nice staff, and really nice clean environment.

Last night I was at Great Dane, pretty poor experience, though I would guess it would be better during a lunch period or not at 9pm. Beer selection was kind of poor, they were still serving bocks, though I'd say the spring season is in full swing. It also would have helped if they didn't have a wannabe Pauly D DJing all night.

Pizzas here, I'll post my thoughts on Bull Moos after I get there, though I've had their beers and enjoyed them quite a bit.

Correction: Bull Falls Brewery

Alright, Bull Falls. Small, but not too small, a large amount of locals.....but it's Wausau....good selection of beers, but no imperials or anything off the wall. They recently got this growler filler that looks likes like an expresso machine, very cool! I like it much more than Great Dane but not as much as Red Eye.

I've heard good things about Red Eye Brewery. I don't get over to Wausau much anymore though.
