It has been a long few last days,

The weekend was just a fogged haze.

Now that Monday is done I've been chewing on clover,

And saying to myself this thread must never be over.

Tis time to start a fire burning again,

Inside my dimwitted, lethargic head.

So I am thinking of taking a little chance here

To get this thread back into at least 1st gear.

Let's get the minds dancing with silly rhymes and riddles

The answers will be found, don't let your brain go brittle.

No farting allowed Emjay, let me reiterate,

That's just not something up for debate!

(And if it were I'd win the entire estate.) :D

I'll start out easy because my mind isn't real smart

But sure as he!! enjoy this silly little art(?).

Eff buttering you guys up but after my first easy questions

Let’s hear your brain draining riddling suggestions.

Looking for some riddles and answers that inspire.

First some kindling questions, I know you guys are tired

(BTW “Baby Light My Fire) :D

1. The more you have of it, the less you see. What is it?

2. I know a word of letters three. Add two, and fewer there will be

3. When young, I am sweet in the sun.

When middle-aged, I make you gay.

When old, I am valued more than ever.

4. Each morning I appear

To lie at your feet,

All day I will follow

No matter how fast you run,

Yet I nearly perish

Man this is fun!

In the midday sun.
In the words of my daughters M&M:

"You've got SWAG"
-let's hear you braig.

"Come at me Bro"
-put on a show.

It has been around 100 degrees here, that doesn't sound like a good idea. :)

Tis time to start a fire burning again,

...no rain either, grass is crispy.

Ah yes Mr jgln, I can't help grinn'n ;)

At the way you pulled out a single sentence.

And gave it a different meaning

For this my good man you could be shot for treason (j/k :D )

It's been hotter than blazing saddles here too.

It will have you cooking in your own stew. :)

I just can't wait for the fires in the moutains to start

Ugghh.. to all beauty we must sometimes part :(

I need to stay true to two parts of this thread

Looking for a riddle that might go along better instead

But I can't think of one I''ve no room to boast

Just very happy you added to the post :mug:

I'll think of a riddle to give you it will be clear

Or maybe somebody else who's now, pondering over a beer.

The mind works in strange ways that is so true

But nothing greases it up like a homebrew! :D

Cheers to you Jim! :mug:

Hey Dan, can we go back to bold typing the riddles.

Everyone else, don't forget if you've already heard the riddle give someone else a try.

Let the games begin.

What goes up and chiminey down, but not down a chiminey up?

I now know the answer but cheated:mad:
My brain was way overheated!
Your spelling was bad AND a good clue.
Alas, I am dumb and not smart like you.
And now it is time to be seated...

Yes, the photo is me
an assistant for Beakman
Like Josie (of her there were three)

My spelling is not bad
Is it Chim chiminey
Chim chim cher-ee
Perhaps in this spelling a clue is had

I'm light as a feather,
but even strong men find me hard to hold.
I have no substance
But I've been known to knock over even the bold.

Balance?

Nope try again Reno

and don't black out from holding it back.

Reconsidering, your answer is perfect just not the one I had in mind
But I'm going to give this one to you because it's a good thing to do.
The answer was "breath" but balance makes just as much sense

Baddad you got the answer I was looking for!
I'll also accept Reno's that is for shor

EDIT And Baddadd guessed the answer while I was editing post 258 to give Reno a thumbs up on his answer. Wrong of me I know.. there's no tomfoolry involved only me effing up. Both answers were answered legit.

My first is in mammoth but not in elephant.
My second is in raccoon but not in beaver.
My third is in dobbin but not in ass.
My fourth is in koala and in kangaroo.
My fifth is in tiger but not in lion.
My last is in pony but not in horse.
What am I?

Monkey thanks to the swmbo

I am a nut, but have no shell

Too many of me will make you swell

Sweet on the outside, I don't always have a middle

Should be enough clues to solve this yummy riddle
.

Short rant. (could be long)

Like maybe a few others around here,
I'm a bit peeved my answers didn't persevere.
I looked up on the net some new riddles to ask
The ones that I posted I was up to the task.

But before that:
I forget what the name of the website is called
Riddling rhymes "Very Difficult". Very Big Balls! :D
But I said to myself I'm halfway good at this sh*t.
Let me show them just who gets it!
And thought heck? I have my own rhyming net,
On HBT, so have no regret.

This will be easy to me Ha Ha Ha!
But that thinking was a great big flaw.
The site brought me quickly to humilty,
And the answers I did not perfectly see.

So after scoring a 45% on ten questions,
I doubt myself and ask for suggestions.
Maybe rhymes and riddles just aren't my thing
But darned if I'm going to stop keep singing.

However an ego was broken.. that's a good thing too,
Because mediocrity does not make a good crew.
I set my mind to answer some hard riddle questions
Came up with great answers, they weren't just suggestions.

But Bam! I was shot down in all my glory,
For Reno and BadDad theirs was a successful story.

Let me try to find one or two of those I found tough
I hope for my sake they make you go gruff! (asinine rhyme)

1st one was in the "Difficult" categpory.

Break me to make me better - I am immediately set

But now harder to break again - In sport, the best result yet.
The hint they gave was the answer is a six letter word. (FWIW I said Bronco or horses - wrong)

This one was in the "Very Difficult" category.
What object has keys that open no locks, space but no room, and you can enter but not go in? I didn't have a clue.

That's it for me tonight. My work hours vary and tonight and tomorrow I work strange late hours. So good night HBT. See you soon.

This one took a while
Though it did make me smile
These riddles are quite the interesting game
Eddie Olczyk was just elected to the US Hockey Hall of Fame
Being a hometown Chicagoan makes us quite proud
Oh s#!t this doesn't rhyme. The answer is record

The answer to the first riddle I will try.
It seems this is easy for me to comply
with the rules of rhyming or so it seems.
It's an individual conquest or sometimes a team.
The answer to me has just struck a chord.
The result ends up with a world record.

Did we ever get to answer these two?

HawksBrewer and JonGrafto two superior minds,
Both answered this mind blowing rhyme.
Credit to them both for their posts
