Words I never expected to hear at a homebrewing meeting, but were accurately voiced. About 20 brews and no one (including the distressed one) brought an IPA. Closest thing was my GF Pale.

What have you heard about homebrew(ing) that you never expected to hear?

Homebrew can make you go blind.

"Sure Honey. Building a raised bed garden with imported soil for 13 hop plants sounds like a great idea"

Holy crap David_42! No IPA's at an Oregon HB meeting? Can't top that, but...

SWMBO (EE) thinks it would be fun to build a brew rig with me. My jaw dropped.

"honey, you need to brew some beer or at the very least go hang out at the brewshop"

From swmbo who doesn't really drink beer....or appreciate beer talk.

I don't think there was any IPA at our last meeting either but it was centered around brown ales last time. In 2 months it is the 10 category, can't wait for those American Ales, I think I will make a Amber and Pale for that one.

"You can make beer?"

"There's a Winter Beer Festival in Traverse City. We should go there for our get-away weekend!"

Ummm... Ok. You know there's other things to do there that weekend too! (but who cares...)
