I was making Austin Homebrew's Nut Brown Ale. Started at 7:00 (eastern) Steeped my grain for 1/2 hour it was done at 7:50. I had to put a hold on the brew for a while. I did remove the grain bag. Can I somehow finish this tomorrow? No extract was put in, just steeped grain. If not, can I resume it in like 2 hours?
Will it be ok?
Thanks.

Try to start back up in a couple hours and you should be fine. The grains you steeped left some lactobaccilus behind in the pot, and if it doesn't get boiled soon, it will start to grow and get sour, especially if it starts to cool down.

thanks, how long do you think is too long?
The pot is still warm to the touch. Should I put it in the oven? The lowest setting on my oven is 170*
