There is a very good reason I didn't post in this thread......before now.

First of all, I doubt his hatred comes solely from the fact that "he plays a sport".

Second, there is no cause for calling another man's (or country's) homebrew "badly brewed". That sort of comment will get AIDS wished upon you.

Thirdly, what the hell is this Ryders Cup you guys are talking about?? Is that handed out by a moving company??

Yep it's only golf. I'd never even heard of that Ice hockey game in 1980 either until I moved to the U.S. That's 'cos it's only hockey.
