just finished dumping my first batch of wort into my fermenter, waiting for it to cool before i pitch the yeast,

im doing a simple american wheat beer

2 cans unhopped wheat malt
1oz uk gold bittering hops
1pkt ale yeast

took a sg and it reads 1.052 if i can read it right wich is a little high but almost right on.

im amazed how easy it was, and i didnt realize how GOOD it smells when brewing, untill i realized im out of beer!!! :-(

feeling realy good about the results of this one ill keep you up to date.

actually im a second gen brewer, i helped my dad brew for years when i was young, this brought back some memories.

Excellent. Glad to see you are getting back into homebrewing. I will be doing batch number 4 this weekend and I'm still wondering why I waited so long to get started.

Welcome, post results and pics if possible.
