Well we've built the base w/castors for easy placement!! Have all the boards cut for the collar, drilled the tap holes. Spent a small fortune at our local HB shop on kegs(3) and all of the paraphernalia that comes with said kegs. Not to mention the donation we made at Home Depot. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

We have 1 bucket of dunkel in the secondary and 1 bucket of a red ale in the primary. The plan was to get started on a belgian hefe but after working on the kegarator and cleaning the garage we just didn't feel up to it. Plan to finish the rator this week and get the hefe in the primary on Saturday.

i think we're going to rig a pulley system for getting the kegs into the rator. killed my back picking up the freezer to put it on the base. going to set an eye-bolt into a beam in the attic then just attach a rope with a hook through the eye the other end to the keg then just pull 'er up.

thinking that the added height of the base plus the collar is going to make it tough for 2 "old" folks to get the keg up, over and into the rator. any thoughts?
