Has anyone ever used their MLT as a bottling bucket? This seems like it would be a good way to filter out any unwanted debris in the beer.

The problem with using your Cooler MLT for ANYTHING post fermentation is because they are prone to scratching (be it from your SS braid or whatever you use to stir with) and handle a lot of un-boiled grains (which has lactobasilis (sp?)). These two factors mean that a Cooler MLT will more than likely infect your batch very easily.

How about using your boiling kettle? It is easily sanitized by boiling.

Good idea. I have yet to install a ball valve on my kettle. That'll be my next project.
