Hey everybody,

Does anybody know a cheap/easy way to insulate the lid of a picnic cooler? I'm using one for my mash tun, and I'm losing some heat through the lid. I'd guess that there has to be some sort of insulation that can be stuck/glued to the inside of the lid that wouldn't be harmful, but I'm not too knowledgeable in those sorts of things.

expanding foam would work, or maybe 2 part foam, but that stuff can get messy. Unless you are dropping a significant amount of heat I really wouldnt worry about it

Fold an old blanket to the size of the closed lid, then lay it on top after you mash in - works for me!

Skol!
