Just was wanting to get some ideas for a name for the beer..

My ideas so far:
Wedding Bells Ale
Marry my honey brown ale

i know those are really bad.. and i am a little drunk right now from beer school (fun stuff)

let me know if you have any ideas...

I tend to favor the traditional names for beer.

Honeymoon Tradition:
Long ago couples would hide away for one full moon, due to the brides family having 2nd thoughts. Upon their return the bride would be pregnant making the union permanent. During this time the grooms party would drink honey mead (honey-wine) with the belief that it would ensure male offspring. It was customary that the brides father would supply the mead and upon child birth the mead maker would be congratulated!

Brown Honeymoon Ale - (Simple)
MY HBA - 23Y - (My Honey Brown Ale - 23rd Chromosone Y [for boys] )
Honey-Brown XY
Traditional Honeymoon Brown Ale
Honeymoon Brown-Wye Ale

Congrats!!! :mug:

Congrats on getting married, I am taking that plunge next summer. I think that: Downtown Honey Brown, would be a good name, not wedding related but it sounds cool.

Also, "beer school"!?, please explain..............

Cheers

beer school is put on by a local beer shop called woody's smokes and brews.. every month they feature a different style of beer, and for 10 bucks you get to drink 6 different beers, as much as you want. Then they sell what is left over for a buck a bottle. They do this for fundraising for some charity. This month they had porters: Left Hand, Samual Smith, Flying dog, bbc, sierra Nevada, and one other oatmeal porter i didn't like...

Call it "Hitched to My Honey Ale" Works for Me. Shane

She doesn't look the part,But try "The Ole Ball and Chain Ale"

I am also getting married...in over a year...08-08-08...but I have been planning on making 4-5 different beers. Here is what we have come up with so far:

"Until Death Do Us Part Porter"
"Wedding Bells Wit"
"08-08-08 Special"
"Extra Special (Bitter) Day"

I brewed a couple of beers for my Sister-in-Law's wedding

An IPA - "Hoppily Ever After"
and a Belgian Style Wit - "Wit Love"

How about, "I used to drink beer" de-acoholized beverage.

lol, I could just cap a beer bottle full of water and call it "Married Man Ale"

mike

PS: or I guess I could just call it coors light...
