So, I know it's only Monday, but the first Saturday of May (the 4th) is fast approaching... and that means observance of National Homebrew Day (technically it's the 7th)!!!

So, what's everyone brewing?
Where'd you get your ingredients?
Are you making it a bigger thing with friends or just doing your own thing?

We have an amber ale just waiting to be brewed with Cascade and Willamette playing nicely with a sweet, malty taste. This batch of ingredients was purchased at Hop & Vines in Asheville on a recent weekend getaway. We're having a few friends over to grill and drink and get eaten up by noseeums and skeeters, probably.

We're fairly new to Charleston, so we haven't had the chance to make a good plunge into the local homebrew groups. Anything going on?

Here is what is going on with Lowcountry Libations. Reply to the email if you are interested.

Description
National Homebrew Day -- we'll be brewing at least one beer and perhaps two. We're going to taste the beers from the Colonial Cup and give away a ton of bottles to folks in the club. We'll also be grilling hotdogs, hamburgers and having some homemade BBQ.
