Aeration with pure O2

To use pure oxygen to aerate, would it make sense to use an oxygen tank from a hardware store? The same O2 that would be mixed with MAPP gas to weld? Pure O2 is pure O2, right? Just something about gas and welding that makes the idea sound bad.

i use the red 02 tanks from Home Depot, that's what most of us who use pure 02 use.

That's what I use. About 7 or 8 bucks a tank.

my company fills both medical and industrial O2. we fill off of the same tank, using the same system. the only difference is that when the medical is filled, we check every bottle to make sure its pure. the industrial goes right into service. it should be fine
