Hey all,

Just wondering, what is the difference besides 1 has a nipple, one doesn't?

I'm building a Keezer now, won't have the faucets & shanks for a few weeks, I have a few up front questions for now.

1. What is the diameter hole to drill for mounting faucet shanks?
2. What is the nipple at the end of the shank for?

I plan on going with 2 Perlick 525SS faucets with shanks & 1 stout tap... but the stout tap doesn't come with any shank.

3. Will a regular shank work on a stout faucet?

thx!

USA shanks use 7/8" x 14 straight pipe threads. I've used a 15/16" bit but a 1" would likely be fine as well.

3/16" ID beer line. Don't forget the clamp.

I've yet to read of a beer faucet sold in the USA that used anything other than a 7/8" x 14 shank...

Cheers!
