My cider has been bubbling along for the last 4 days, well bubbling alot really. But suddenly yesterday it stopped all together. Is it natural for cider to stop primary fermentation after 4 days, or is something wrong?

Help! :(

I get the impression that with ale the yeast is adapting as it goes. It processes the easy sugars first and then tackles the tougher ones. In cider, it's all the same simple sugars. They do seem to stop rather abruptly.

I have made a cider with 5 gals pure apple juice, 20 oz maple syrup, and 1 lb brown sugar, I left it in the primary for 1 week, then secondary for going on 2 weeks and it is still bubbling @ 1 bubble every 8-10 seconds, Hopefully it stops soon so I can bottle it and try it in a few weeks.
