I'm getting ready to order a bunch of electrical parts and had a question regarding the element lights (using 2 5500W elements). What I'd like to have is a light that comes on and stays lit when the switch is closed. When the element is actually getting power, I want another smaller light to turn on/flash with the power.

I'm thinking I can use a 110v light to indicate that the switch is on and 220v to indicate when the element is getting power. Can someone confirm? I've been reading about the current leakage issues too. Will I have to worry about this for both lights?

Your right. The 110v light would parallel the relay coil and 220v light would parallel the element. That would do what you want.

No problem, Brewing electric is best way to go in my opinion.
