It's a regular 12-point.. the box end of a wrench fits as well as a deep 12-point socket.

Would my local hardware store sell a deep 12 point socket or is that something I will need to find online?
Craftsman ratchet.
In my case a 7/8" fits just right.
the star shapped lug can be fit by most ratchet sets.

Yes. They stock them at Ace (at least the one I frequent) but where out when I went. Could not find them (or a place for them) at the crap hole tool section at HD. Right out front and easy to find at the well stocked Lowe's.
