Townsend, Montana Fall Fest Home Brew Contest

Hello homebrewers,
I want to introduce the Townsend Montana Fall Fest Home Brew Contest. It is occurring on October 1st and 2nd at the Townsend Fall Fest in Townsend, MT. There will be lots of fun to be had. The Clinton's will be headlining the music for the weekend on Sunday October 2nd. There is also a car show and craft beer. The craft beer will be provided this year by Lewis and Clark Brewing Company in Helena, MT. This year is fixing to be a grand event. If you have a few bottles of a great vintage laying around, mail it my direction and enter it into the contest.

This contest is open to any hombrewer. It is a BJCP sanctioned event. All beers will be judged based on style entered and on an equal playing field by a panel of judges. Bottle requirement for the event is 3 un-labeled 12 ounce bottles. The cost of the event is $4 per entry. The number of entries per person is limited to 3. All bottles must be recieved no later than September 29th at 6:00 PM. All bottles must be sent to Mount Baldy Brewing, LLC, 214 Broadway, Townsend, MT 59644. It is assumed that the bottles will not be returned. If contestant wants to pick bottles up arrangements can be made to pick them up on the final day of the event. The event is going to be held on Saturday October 1st and Sunday October 2nd. The final judging event will take place on Sunday October 2nd.

Prizes for the event include:

Best of Show Winner -
1 Entry into the National BJCP AHA Homebrew Contest
A Keg of ANY of Lewis and Clark Brewing Company Beers (Keg size limited to 5 gallons)
A Sack of Grain or Choice of homebrew ingredient kits (extract or all grain).
1 Pound of Cascade Hops Donated from Blackfoot River Brewing Company
Garb from Big Sky Brewing Company

Runner Up
A choice of any homebrew ingredient kit from our shop (extract or all grain)
1 Pound of Cascade Hops Donated from the Blackfoot River Brewing Company
Garb from Big Sky Brewing Company
An assortment of specialty grains from our shop.

2nd Place
1 Pound of Cascade Hops Donated by the Blackfoot River Brewing Company
Garb from Big Sky Brewing Company

Yes we are doing this again this year. All beers for the contest need to be to our new location in Helena by 6PM September 28th.

sweet...wondering if anyone from the gallatin valley will be driving over? i have a couple beers i'd like to enter but will not be in helena any time soon. maybe i'll check with the bridger brew crew...
