Help Understanding my Water Report.

Hi i am new to reading a water profile. I am trying to understand what is in my water , but i am having a little trouble understanding the terms being used. I notice most talk is dealt with PPM. But on my waster report i have MG/L or MCL,mg/L .... For example... I read that the calcium in my water is 24.4 MG/L
I ran a conversion on a website to PPM and it told me the conversion was 24.427872193. So basically the same. Is this the proper conversion? or am i missing something here?

there are one million mg in one liter of water. hence, mg/l = ppm.

thanks a bunch ... I figured but wanted to be sure !!! Now i can go on my way making my water a little more suitable with some luck.
