motorized grain mill???

Im doing some slight remodel work in the house and while im at it i removed an old whole house fan. I figured i could repurpose the motor and use it for my grain mill but dont know how. It is model number whv 24dd....my google searches turned up nutone part number but no specs.

Anybody have any idea how to accomplish this?

I think it would be a bit under powered. A search for WHV 24 DD turned up a Nutone fan:

And searching for those part numbers showed the motor number, 9723A000. That corresponds to a 776 RPM motor, which weighs 3 lbs. No info on HP.

You can get decent deals on motors on ebay, i picked up a couple of 1/2 HP motors for $10-$20/each for my mill.

I motorized my mill with an old whole house fan motor. its about a 15 lb motor, big ugly bastard. probably 60 years old. the nameplate has long fallen off so I don't have any specs on it. an attic fan motor would work too well. whole house fan good. I've heard storys of people not opening the windows & turning one on. the fan has so much power it broke the windows in the house.
