I'm cleaning my beer lines with BLC right now. I'm doing 3, 10 minute BLC soaks/flushes. The lines are still a little yellow. They are always a little yellow even after cleaning. I admit I haven't cleaned my lines in a few months, and I think I'm getting a little off flavor.

How clear are your beer lines after a really good cleaning? Are they clear like brand new, or are they just always going to be a little yellow?

Yes, I know I'm supposed to. Off flavor is definitely gone after a good cleaning.

What I'm asking is are your lines yellow?

Off flavors = Replace the lines, if cleaning doesn't help.

You might try HOT cleaner and see if your results are better.

I have a few stained lines, but have never really noticed off flavors.

Thanks, I'm pretty confident I got a good cleaning. Both beers on tap are noticeably better. I just ran blc through at 10 minute increments until it ran clear (4 passes total).

I'm just asking if staining is normal even after a thorough cleaning. Sounds like I have one yes and one no...

I should state that I've only been kegging for a year. I don't know of that's a factor in lack of discoloration or not...

I just bought a 3' long line brush that'll reach as long as you don't have long lines. I only have a 5' line so it'll work, but I haven't tried it yet. I also need to be able to feed it through from the QD end and that may be a problem as it isn't on a screw clamp.
