Hello All,
I'm moving to all grain brewing this weekend. I constructed a Mash tun out of a cooler and am all set. I will still have to do a concentrated boil as I don't have a large enough brew pot to do a 6 gal boil. I was wondering if there were any suggestions of things I should look out for and try to guard against when I go to mash and sparge. Thanks again for your help~!

Sounds like you might be better off doing a partial mash rather than full. How are you going to "concentrate" the boil if you don't have enough space to start with?

You can do a concentrated boil with grain only but it's going to be less efficient. What I'd recommend is to run off 6.25 gallons through the process and start with a 4.5 gallon boil. You can then boil the remainder in another pot or slowly add it to the main pot as you boil down.
