Let me preface this by saying I know simple sugar starter = bad.

But it turns out I'm a bit short on DME and I was planning on making two starters for two beers I'm brewing this weekend. The packs have been smacked and are starting to swell already. I've got about 4-5 oz of DME, some corn sugar, and yeast nutrient.

Question:
If I add 4 oz of sugar to the 4oz of DME and the appropriate amount of yeast nutrient, then split that between the two starters, do you think I'd be ok? Or should I just go with a very low OG starter?

Thanks.

Sorry to be one of those who keep posting looking for an answer, but the clock is ticking. Any thoughts?

Yeah, not ideal; I messed up. But I'll give it a go.
