Ok, so I got lazy last fall and never cut back the vines on my hop plants. It's slowly getting warmer here so I'm thinking I should cut them back, but it's still in the low 30's up here in MN, when should I start fertilizing & watering them to get them going again. I'm guessing when it starts getting warmer, but I am curious how warm it should be?

well you really don't want them to dry out even when they are dormant. You can clear out the old bines now. It's a good idea to do it before there is any new growth to complicate the task.

Hopfarmer, I take it then much work isn't needed now, just some compost and clearning off debris from the winter?
