I am about to try my hand at making a starter and I have a question. I am going to make a LH Milk Stout clone from AHS and they recommend to double pitch my yeast. Do I need to do this if I make a starter? I planned on using White Labs WLP001.

What is the expected OG?

This liquid yeast is at a bare minimum for pitching without a starter.

Explore brewersfriend, Kia has developed that calculator. Try and shoot for a pro size #1 rate.

The OG should be 1.064 and brewers friend site looks interesting. It looks like I have alot to learn about starters. Back to Palmers book now!
