I went out and picked up some supplies yesterday for my next batch and accidentally tossed my Nottingham Ale Yeast into the freezer with my hops.

Is it dead? Its been in there for about 30 hrs.

I checked the pack and no where on it does it say anything about not putting it in the freezer, but not sure that makes it ok.

I haven't tried it with brewing yeast but my bread yeast spends months in the freezer before I get it all used and it is as vigorous at the end as it was when I first put it in there.

I've had a pack of US-05 in the refrigerator for 8 months and it took of just fine.

I think you're probably better off in the fridge long term, but overnight in the freezer shouldn't hurt them. Stick to the fridge from now on, but you're good.
