I think this is just the yeast not covered by the new scoby growth, but then what do I know. So what do you thing?

Looks normal to me. The brown spots on top are where air has dried out little parts of the scoby. The brown stuff underneath is yeast, I believe.
 
Yes, that does look a bit odd, but I personally think it is OK. The first pic is the only one that really concerns me, but I think that lump yes is simply yeast.
 
Poke at it and if it pretty easily disappears back into solution, it was probably just yeast. If it bites you, it wasn't ;)
 
Thanks I'm away from my brew for the weekend so I'm looking forward to seeing it Monday night.
