My question is this, I have one group of washed yeast in my fridge that is cloudy/hazy. All of the rest are nice and clear but amber in color. The yeast in question is British Ale II wyeast 1335. It was washed from a clone of surly furious (an average American IPA). What caused the cloudiness? I did taste the water and it was extremely bitter, could it be something from the hops?
Thanks

I have never experienced that. But minus carbonation, any liquid in your yeast should taste exactly like the beer you made with it.

In your case you washed it, presumably with sterile water, so it might not taste like the beer, but that's wierd. I wouldn't use it if it doesn't taste right. Not worth it.
