Source For Dry-Marker Board?

Looking around for a replacement for the door shelving on the Sanyo. Like the being able to write notes on the inside of the door. I have been looking for something roughly 3/16", dry-marker erasable, and maybe small enough I can fit in a car. The seal groove that this fits in is only about 5/32". Only able to find 'whiteboard' and that was a 4' x 8' at HD, and it seemed to be about 1/4" thick. It's doubtful I'll ever find a use for the rest of the sheet, if I could even make it fit. Saw something at an office supply place, 3 sheets @ 20" x30"-too small.

Need 20 5/8" x 31 1/8".

Looked at Walmart, TSC, Office Depot(?); where else?

Look for stuff labeled "Mark R Board Wainscot" at Home Depot or Lowes. That's what I used for my door mod. They can cut to to size for you. The stuff is big, so I had two pieces cut from the sheet at the store in case I ever need to replace it, no sense in wasting the rest of the piece.

Not sure if this would work for you, but you could cover the door with whatever you want, and then paint "chalkboard paint" over it.

I used the 4' x 8' sheet from Home Depot. Had them cut it into 4 pieces so it would fit in the car. I ended up givinh the lady at the register a piece (said she was looking for some, but didn't want to buy the 4' x 8')...gave a piece to the kids...one used for the kegerator and the other I will keep as a spare.

It was a pain to get the gasket back in place and screwed down, but the end result was worth it...and for $10 it was a deal. I looked around as well...but have no advice where to look...maybe a craft's store?

It's easily available at Home Depot or Lowes. I call it Shower Board, as it is masonite with a smooth white coating on the front. Look back where the masonite is and ask to have it cut for you.

Cheap cheap cheap.
