Dang finger got in the way of the flash, but it's centered a bit better anyway.
You can see some boxes of extra bottles on the right with my turbo fan & 12 pack cooler I use for small PBW soaks. The home depot bucket is handy for draining the fermenters & bottling bucket when done soaking in PBW. The ice cream pales are great for carrying 7 bottles at a time from here to kitchen for cleaning/rinsing. You can also see my jugs for getting spring water on the right. Also, the bottle tree with vinator & super agata bench capper can be seen on the left. I use the bag the capper came in for a dust cover. The bucket on the right is the bottling bucket I built for $13.

hahaha, I saw you post in the brew scupture thread just before checking this one out. Had to reopen the thread, as the photo of old/new is almost identical! Looks like you upgrade more than just the brew stand too (car?) :D

Lol. Yea.. Moving on up

Yeah,it turned out to be way more popular than I originally thought when I started it. I just wanted to see whoelse might be ghetto rigging things around here.:mug:

Talk about a ghetto wort chiller. :D I wouldn't even dare use that tubing, except it was mostly an extract batch and had cold water added.

Just took a picture this morning :D The pavilion gives me shade and protects somewhat from the wind and other elements. Of course I keep all my pots and coolers inside the house/garage when not in use. Only the burner and the work bench which I use for the mash tun are out. My brewing buddy is usually playing in the sand box or outside the pavilion.

I am pretty sure the flat screen TV takes away your ghetto-cred.

I like your wheeled cooler. That thing is sweet. Does it get much use?

it gets a fair amount of use. I really love it on brew day because its a great way to hold ice water and prechill the water going into my immersion chiller.

Hahaha I read that with the TV in mind and thought WTF :D it made sense until you said it held ice water...

This is my set up. Some inside some out side, all primaries but my beer is wonderful to me and my friends

I almost fell out of my chair trying to look at this. I've been drinking a bit... :) Nice oak barrel in your avatar btw.

Makes me wish I could afford a deck. Brewing outside, with those lil tables with the Martini umbrellas like I see at road racing events. & the bbq pit out there as well. Would make for a memorable brew day.:mug::rockin:

Nothing too crazy here - screened-in porch boil once the darn rain came. There's ghettoness after this point...

I can't believe how close to home I hit with this thread. Glad to see so many of you are ghetto proud! I came from the ghetto,& bein part redneck,I got quite a bit of mechanical aptitude from my dad & grandpa. Anyway, here's an updated shot of my lil brewery corner I wanna build onto over winter.

And my bottle collection on top of the comp hutch...need a lot more room!

I gotta put up some shelves to spread out my burgeoning bottle collectiion (with caps!),built a fermentation cabinet,& 2 tables to go around the corner no higher than the fermenter stand (old printer stand from Staples). That way,I can have the fermenter stand on the left by the computer hutch, then a table over the boxes of empty bottles for secondaries & bottling bucket. Then a 3rd table for bottle tree & bottling in general. I wanna build the tables so that they store what's already there underneith them. Then I'd have a lot less to move around to go through fermentation,secondary/racking to bottling bucket,& finally a bottling area last. No more moving the room around to bottle, thus less setup/clean up. Then see if I can find a cart the same height as the fermenter stand to make transporting chilled wort from the kitchen easier. Not to mention getting BK's,& other equuipment to & from the kitchen all at one time. That'd make things easier on my back & hips. Everything works if ya let it!!:ban:

Here is a setup we used for a few years till we got tiered of lifting.

There is still lifting involved, but it's far less than before. And it's not like putting together an erector set every time we brew;)

True. I could use a cart of some kind to wheel all the brewing stuff into the kitchen. Then wheel heavy kettles back into the brewery. It'd also make getting all the equipment back & forth easier & faster. Now to find one the same height as the fermenter stand...

2x4+screws+plywood+casters=perfect cart:tank:

Yeah,I may have to fabricate something to get the height I want, etc. A second shelf would allow carrying more stuff back & forth on the cart instead of me being a pack mule. Maybe with some sort of heat pad built into the top tray.

Happy Thanksgiving to all that have read or contributed to this thread! I never thought it'd go this far! So keep those ghetto rigs a brewin! :mug:

No pic but imagine a turkey fryer BIAB, ratchet hoist and junk corona / bucket. Chill in bucket with cold ground water.

Here is what we ended up with last night brewing for the first time at a new location after pulling stuff out of storage.

It was cold out but at least was a nice evening.
