Was wondering what you guys thought about the best kit to split may be for a pumpkin and holiday ale. I will not be adding real pumpkin, been there done that, doesn't really add much and is a pain the ass. I will just be adding spices to both and try and maximize my kit between pumpkin and holiday.

I'm thinking:
NB Caribou Slobber.....awesome by itself
NB Nut Brown....
AHS Oktoberfest with an ale yeast...
Something else.....Please explain yourself in thread

TIA

I don't use kits, but I do use my house amber recipe for both pumpkin and holiday spice. I'm brewing the pumpkin this weekend, and I will indeed use canned pumpkin. In the summer I make a couple batches of the same amber without spices or additions..

When I brew the pumpkin or holiday spiced I drop the IBU's to about 20. When I just brew the amber without additions I up the IBU's to about 25-27..
