Hello,

I built a RIMS system and utilized two 55,000 btu burners (turkey fryer) for my setup. Does anyone know the spacing I should have between the top of the burner to the bottom of the keggle?

Thanks for your help

I've heard 5" is about the key, but the flame is the thing.

I modified my burner by removing the bolt running from the top - tapped the hole to fit a 5/16" bolt.

Added a 1/2" pipe spacer on a 5/16" bolt inserted from the bottom of the stand with a couple of washers and extra nuts on each end of the spacer along the bolt so as to adjust the height of the burner itself, and then the diffuser burner plate rests on the end of the bolt.

Boilovers can be quickly cleaned up by simply popping out the diffuser plate.

Cheers.
