I just pick up a Selection Original Cabernet Sauvignon wine kit from my local homebrew shop what i plan to start next weekend. I have only brewed beer before this wine attempt and was wondering what you sanitize your equipment with. I use starsan usually and was wondering if i can use this for wine as well or if i need to go pick up some sanitizer specifically used in wine. Any advise would be great.

Yeah, star-san is great for wine.

When I first started, I was a winemaker and had been using potassium metabisulfite and/or one-step. Once I found star-san in brewing, I don't use anything else anymore. All of my wine equipment and bottles are always sanitized with star-san now.

Thanks Yooper for the advice. I figured it would work i just didnt want to use star-san and throw 100 bucks down the drain when it failed.
