Sorry I am kind of new to working on partial mashes. How many lb of extract to lbs of grains for a partial mash? I know there has to a certain equation for the sugars. Thanks...

If you're asking how much grain should you use per batch compared to extract that is up to you.

Use a brew calculator and use as much grain as you can work with on your system.

My last partial mash I only used 1lbs of extract and the rest was grain.

DeathBrewer's numbers are a good place to start. Remember that they only apply to the base grains (2-row, Pilsner, etc). You don't change the specialty grains.

When I convert an AG recipe, I add up all specialty grains and use at least an equal weight of base grain.
