I know we've done something similar to this before, but I can't find the thread. Plus mine change as often as my underwear. This week, here are my favorites. :D

(when thinking about this, think of the 5 you'd take with you if you were stranded on an island for a couple years, and could not live without.)

1. Hop Rod Rye
2. Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
3. My Pliny The Bastid clone
4. Draught Guinness
5. Loose Cannon

What are yours?

1 Free
2 Cheep
3 Offered
4 Found
and the one you'll all want to kill me for . . . . .

5 Miller High Life
I figured you ment other then Homebrew

1- My new robust porter (it is the newest one)
2- Stone Imperial Stout
3- Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
4- Spatan Oktoberfest (it is the season)
5- Anchor Steam

This is gonna require thought and drinking.

How am I going to get your #3 into my top 5?
Just for fairness sake.

Figure out how to get a bottle of you SNPA clone to my doorstep, and a bottle of my Pliny may find its way to yours. :D

I had no idea you liked SNCA so much.

I take it all the "reflecting" you did with your porter today helped you come to the conclusion of making it #1 on your list. Cool. ;)

1. Mackesson triple stout
2. Breckenridge oatmeal stout
3. Harpoon IPA
4. Yuengling Porter
5. Homebrew

These are in the fridge right now and what I've been drinking lately.

Three Floyds Pride and Joy
SNCA
Rogue Shakespeare Stout
Rogue Brutal Bitter
Stone IPA

Skullsplitter and Victory Golden Monkey get honorable mentions.

One of my all time favorites is Dude's Pliny the Bastid, but I figured I'd stick to commercial for my list. So, you're headed to the USPS, huh? :D

I think I'm going to have to try this Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale if so many people list it in their top five. Is this like an Oktoberfest?

Has anyone checked out SN's web page for the Celebration Ale. I love the quote from the newspaper. Something like, "Celebration Ale is the best beer ever made in America." Nothing like a superlative statement! I won't go that far, but it is one amazing beer, or at least I remember it that way.

No surprises there. :)
Yeah, I'll send you one too. Also gotta send you a bottle of the Stone 10th Anniversary IPA. Beer nirvana.

Gotta go with...

Rogue Shakespeare Stout
Fuller's ESB
Bully Porter (I'm from KC, what can I say?)
Boulder MoJo
Fuller's London Porter

In no particular order, and with a number of close 6, 7 and 8's to say the least, tough to throw out absoute favorites, but these are up there.

Also my first post, so here goes...

Man, this is a tough one, my favorites are

Sam Smith
Fullers
Newport Storm
Dogfish Head 60 Min
Anchor Steam

but I don't know that I can put them in any particular order since it totally depends on my mood.

No particular order, off the top of my head:
DFH 90 min IPA
Sam Smiths Oatmeal Stout
Stone 10th anniversary IPA
Unibroue Maudite
Stone Arrogant Bastard

This is tough, here we go, not in any real order:

Dogfish Head 90 min IPA
Hop Rod Rye
Saranac Black Forest
Richbrau IPA
Czechvar

I'm going to be a little NE-centric here with mine.
In no particular order

1) Otter Creek - Stovepipe Porter
2) Sam Adams - Black Lager
3) Saranac - Traditional Lager
4) Cooperstown Brewery - Old Slugger
5) Long Trail Brewing Co - Hibernator

In no particular order:

Bass
My Old Jeep Parts Oatmeal Stout
My Lawnmower Blonde Ale
Ken's Memory Lapse Pale Ale
Lacrosse lager (go ahead, I'm expecting it.....)

Also, a handful of barley, fresh water, a heat source, and some Wyest 1968....

Sköl!
