How long does a fly sparge take for a 6.08 us gallon batch on avrage ? It's only my third batch of AG in my homebrew career and i'm entering the 3 hour mark for my 9 gallon pre boil volume... I had nothing else to do today but was wondering if the flow rate is too slow :)

Uh, yeah. I think most guys do it in 45 minutes to an hour if I'm not mistaken. I batch sparge though, so I'm no expert.

You're better off going too slow than too fast. Keep good notes of everything you do for comparison. Be sure to record a pre boil gravity reading. My fly sparge is generally around an hour long.

Just took my gravity reading after sparge... Pre-boil reading sais 1.033 and beersmith sais 1.034 WOOT WOOT :) took me 3 hours to sparge 9 gallons thow :)
