My brother in law lives in Minneapolis and picked me up some packets of hops, crushed grain, and some of their malt extract.

The problem I have is he could come not come down because of work and he has kept it all in his trunk the last couple months because. Are the ingredients still salvagable?

Thanks!

Hops may or may not be useable. I would open the bag and smell them. If they smell like cheese or are brown do not use. The yeast also (if there is any) would not have done well either. The rest should be fine. IMO

I've used crushed grains that were a year and a half old and it made pretty decent beer. The hops may be ok if they were sealed well. Another fragrance of spoiled hops I've found is a "dog food" smell. I think you'll know it if you smell it though ;)
