I use a plastic 'Ale Pale' for Primary and secondary. Is this ok. I see alot of folks use a glass carboy for secondary. I do plan on getting a couple soon.

Are they the same size? I am far from an expert, but I think that size would be the biggest question, as secondaries are usually smaller to reduce the amount of oxygen exposure for the beer.

That said, my guess is that your beer will be just fine.

Ale pales do not make good secondaries due to the large head space and chance for oxidation like 9/9 says.

+1 (get a 5 gallon glass carboy or better bottle for your secondary - they are not permeable to oxygen)
