bottling with too much foam

I have an issue recently with too much foaming on my darker beers. I bottle from a conical so I drop in 1/4 teaspoon of sugar into the bottle. About 50 batches and no problem uintil recently. Now there is foam bubbling out when we open a bottle. The beer tastes fine, just like the other batches. Infection?
