i went on the mr.beer website. I see the have dme with there batches of beer. Has anyone tried this??? If i want to do there octoberfest, should i use there yeast or get some lager yeast??? i usally use 34/70 yeast for my lagers. i usally do small batches of all grain but with my schedule i really dont have all that time. I guess it is time to go back to cans for a little while.
 
I would get a lager yeast if you want to do their Oktoberfest. The yeast try include is only am ale yeast even though they call it a Oktoberfest Vienna lager. At least the kit I got last year was.
 
i actually made there octoberfest and used the yeast the gave me and it actually turned out good!! That is probally my favorite beer with mr. beer. I did add a couple hops though.
