I just got my cooler all cut up and pipes all glued, then I come in here and read a post about PVC not working and leaching chemicals of something...???

Did I just waste my time with PVC?

on edit: I just realized this was in the DIY section.. Meant to put it under Equipment..

Well I pulled this off some website google found..

High Temperature RatingsPVC thermoplastic can handle fluids at service temperatures up to 140°F (60°C), allowing a wide range of process applications, including corrosive fluids.

Damn.. Back to HomeDepot...

Definitely go back and get CPVC. It is cream colored and usually right next to the standard, white PVC. I built my manifold out of the stuff and it has worked great for three years now.
