Hi all I have a golden ale on the go, I pitched yeast at 85 degrees. It is fermenting fine but will it effect taste? I have read it will give off flavor but hopping cause its a hoppy beer won't notice.

85 shouldn't cause an issue as long as you aren't fermenting that hot. What is your fermenting temp right now?

You should be fine in that range. Remember, the beer can rise up to 10 degrees higher than ambient air temp due to fermentation. So, if that is beer temp, you're golden. If it's air temp, you may have generated some slight off flavors due to temp. But overall, I don't think you'll see any negative effects honestly.
