I started brewing about a year and a half ago, but I haven't made a batch in 6 months. I clean all my equipment before and after each use. When I went to get my plastic hose out to use there is something white on the inside. It doesn't look like mold, more like some sort of residue.

I use a no rinse sanitizer. I try to make sure everything is dry before putting it away. I ran sanitizer and water through the hose to try and remove this residue. Is my hose still safe to use or do I need to buy a new hose? Thanks.

Is it a discoloration? When in doubt a couple bucks for a hose vs ruining a batch of beer...I would buy a new hose
